International Aircraft Registry
The International Aircraft Registry permits individuals and organizations to register and search for financial interests in aircraft assets. The IR is an electronic registry operating under the legal framework of the Cape Town Convention and Aircraft Protocol adopted on the 16th of November 2001. It provides for electronic registration and the protection of international interests with priority being determined on a “first-to-file” basis. Registration of these interests is considered best practice for owners, creditors and others in protecting their financial interest.
